BALTIMORE — Since they're still closed due to the coronavirus, the Maryland Zoo is literally bringing tons of fun right to you.

For $49 from the comfort and safety of your own home, you can get a virtual behind-the-scenes tour of the zoo's four African elephants on Zoom.

The live interactive experience will be offered on Thursdays at 2 p.m. and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.

Viewers will have the chance to ask zoo staff about the elephants, while learning how they're trained and cared for.

Currently two male and two female African elephants make their home at the zoo, including 12-year-old Samson, 36-year-old Tuffy, 37-year-old Felix, and 45-year-old Anna.

All proceeds from the tours will go directly to support animal care, during a time when COVID-19 affects the zoo's income.
