Three dead in shooting at Annapolis Holiday Inn

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Police are on scene investigating a shooting with multiple victims involved.

Around 2:00 p.m., officers were called to the Holiday Inn Express on Somerville Road.

The crime scene is reportedly located in the 2000 block of Somerville Road in Annapolis.

Anne Arundel County spokesperson Lt. Jacklyn Davis said a man shot a woman and another man in the parking lot, before pulling the trigger on himself.

The shooter and woman died on the scene. The male victim was able to drive to a local store and call for help.

He later died at the hospital.

"The way society is, you got to always watch your back," said Mitchell Matheson, lives close to where the shooting happening.

Police say there is currently no threat to the public and that this was a targeted incident.

"If you see the signs that your loved one is in distress, dispondant or has indicated their intent to harm someone, please, we implore you to call us," said Amal Awad, Anne Arundel County Chief of Police.  

This incident is still under investigation.
