Three-alarm fire in Southeast Baltimore leaves one person dead, officials say

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Fire battled a three-alarm fire in Southeast Baltimore on Monday.

Firefighters took to X to report the fire around 6:00 pm in the 300 block of S Newkirk Street.

According to fire officials, one person died.

The fire has been extinguished, and investigators have not yet determined a cause.

The Greektown Neighborhood Association is collecting donations for essential items for those impacting by the fire.

They'll be collecting donations for essential items at John Ruhrah Elementary/ Middle School.
