Update- 10:30pm:
WATCH: Shooting in West Baltimore leaves man critical, officer injured
According to Police Commissioner Worley, at around 7:17pm, Tuesday night, officers were patrolling the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Laurens Street.

Once officers attempted to stop him, he took off running. Once the officers were able to catch him on foot, a brief struggle ensued.
The man was able to break away from police and shot a firearm, hitting one of the officers in the foot.
Multiple police officers shot back, hitting the man. He was taken to an area hospital, where he is in critical condition.
BPD has not identified the man. They believe he is an adult.
Police secured a weapon from the scene. The officer was taken to shock trauma, where he is being treated. He is in fair condition.

BPD is on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in West Baltimore. It happened at Pennsylvania Avenue and Laurens Street.
According to the Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police, the officer who was injured is in stable condition.
We are aware of the officer involved shooting in the Western District. President Mancuso and a representative from @SBWDLaw are on their way to the Homicide Unit. Guard Glazerman is on his way to Shock Trauma to assist the injured officer who is in stable condition.
