Even though life might not seem too sunny right now, summer is actually on its way. And along with warm weather comes our favorite product category of the season: cute pool floats!

If you have access to a body of water of any kind, you know how much an inflatable animal, piece of food or motorized lounger adds to summer fun. There are so many to choose from to suit every personality!

One of the best ones we’ve seen so far this year is a $15 float from Target that will please the bargain-hunting animal lovers in your life: Sun Squad’s Giant Llama Pool Float.

Look how adorable this thing is! We love those banana-shaped ears, that protruding tail, and the white-and-pink color scheme that will be just perfect against the blue of a well-maintained pool. Another bonus: As of May 14, it had nothing but perfect review grades from buyers at Target.com.

This single-person float, suitable for anyone ages 8 and up, can hold up to 198 pounds. It’s 49.2 inches long, 35 inches wide and 47.6 inches tall. It is, as the product description notes, able to “increase the cute and cool factor of any water activity this summer.” Hard to argue with that!

Of course, if this buoyant llama doesn’t float your boat, there are plenty of other options that can be easily found on a budget. For example, you could stick with an animal kingdom theme and get this huggable, inflatable sloth from SwimWays, which is currently less than $12 at Walmart.

You could also go for a more ocean-inspired theme and float into goddess-hood with this seashell float from Frontgate. It costs $129, but you’ll love its glorious iridescence, which you can see below.

If you don’t want to spend that much, there’s a pure white version for about $34 at Walmart.

Or, hey, let’s forget the natural world. Floats resembling man-made items are also cool.

I mean, you can buy a pool float from Funboy in the shape of a golf cart, complete with a removable sunshade and cupholders. It fits two and costs $129. That’s pretty pricey but you can virtually guarantee you’ll be the only one on your block cruising around the pool in one of these bad boys!

Maybe what we need is a float that holds lots of people so that, whenever we’re allowed to have parties again, we can fit a bunch of them into one massive inflatable.

Enter the 18-foot airplane-shaped float by Member’s Mark Island at Sam’s Club. This one costs a whopping $169.98, but it’s worth it just for the conversations it’ll start!

Whether you want a float for one person, a couple or a whole group of lake-lovers, there’s something out there for you. Enjoy the season!
