AAA Mid-Atlantic is offering a free car clinic for women Tuesday night.

From 7 to 8:30 p.m., women can attend a workshop at the AAA Mid-Atlantic Glen Burnie Car Care Center at 10 Holsum Way in Glen Burnie.

Space is limited. You can reserve a spot by calling 410-487-0505.

"Our goal is to provide women with the knowledge they need to take the fear and uncertainty out of the auto repair process by offering a trustworthy, open dialogue," Regional Director of AAA Mid-Atlantic's Car Care Centers James Spires said in a statement. "The car care clinic is designed to equip women to apply that knowledge to greatly decrease their chances of getting stranded on the side of the road and to cultivate keenness of mind about all things automotive."

At the event, women will learn:

  • How to check tire tread and air pressure
  • The magnitude of regular battery checks
  • How to check different fluids and when
  • Braking, steering and suspension systems overview
  • The difference between wheel alignment checks and wheel balance

The event is open to AAA members and non-members.
