Brewers Art's new beer helps the penguins

Posted

What's better than cute penguins and a delicious brew? The Brewers Art created Penguin Pils in collaboration with The Maryland Zoo.

The beer celebrates the Zoo's 140th and Brewers Art's 20th anniversaries.

The Penguin Pils is a crisp, light refreshing beer, perfect for the summer. It's brewed with German Noble hops and American hop varieties at 4.5 percent abv. Penguin Pils will be available on draft throughout Baltimore starting on May 12.

If you can't wait, The Brewers Art is tapping a keg Wednesday at 6 p.m. Of course, an African penguin animal ambassador will there to introduce the beer.

Part of the proceeds from sale of this beer will benefit The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore's African penguin and research projects.

The Maryland Zoo has North America's largest African Penguin exhibit, Penguin Coast. It is currently home to 66 penguins.

If you're interested in going to the Penguin Pils premiere, The Brewers Art is located at 1106 North Charles St.
