A kitten was rescued from the rubble and debris left behind after a deadly earthquake in Italy.

Last week the quake brought buildings crashing down and left more than 200 people dead. This week, a bright moment emerged amid the devastation.

Rescue workers combing through debris with bulldozers spotted something white and gray. It was a cat named Joy who was alive, but in need of water.

The Telegraph reports the cat's owner said Joy was all she had left.
