Author William Oldfield is Inspector Frank Oldfield's great grandson. For the first four decades of his life, William’s family warned him never to tell of Frank's exploits, fearing retaliation by the descendants of the criminals who remained prominent members of communities near the Oldfield family in Ohio.
Victoria Bruce is the author of No Apparent Danger, Hostage Nation, and Sellout. She is the recipient of the Alfred I. duPont–Columbia University Award for excellence in broadcast journalism for her film, The Kidnapping of Ingrid Betancourt.
