At 14, Brandon Novak was a professional skateboarder with a bright future. The Baltimore native joined the famed CKY crew and made appearances in several MTV shows as well as the Jackass films, all while struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. You can read about his story in his book, Dreamseller.

Before he got clean for good in 2015, Novak was jailed, homeless, and went through 13 different inpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs. His mother Pat never gave up hope, but prayed nightly for chance and even bought a cemetery plot for her son.

Now, Brandon is a recovery ally, working closely with Banyan Treatment Center to help others and even offers his personal cell phone number to those in need.
