Now that it's spring, I can stop hibernating and start hiking, biking and running again.

Lately, I've also been getting my diet back in check. I have celiac disease, so I eat gluten free daily, but recently, I've really tried to make my own food and eat clean -- it really makes a difference in how I feel and my energy levels.

I've also been slowly returning to my gym routine. To give me a little extra push, I've decided to embark on a 21-day challenge.

This will be my fourth Superhero Challenge and I'm pretty excited about it.

The whole program was started by Emily Schromm, a trainer and nutritional therapy practitioner based out of Denver, Colorado. You might recognize her from her time on MTV's Real World D.C. or The Challenge.

For just $21 she sends a daily email with wellness tips and/or workouts. She also creates meal plans that are paleo-ish. The best part? There's tons of giveaways during the three weeks.

What makes her challenge different is the emphasis is on lifestyle change and education. Em's program focuses on changing our bodies to become fat burners by eliminating sugar.

"This diet is not a diet, it's such a way of life," Em said in a recent Facebook Live segment.

That's right -- it's 21 days without any sugar, even those sneaky sugars like sucrose, dextrose and high fructose corn syrup.

The challenge is really about learning your body, using food for fuel and getting strong. It starts Monday, April 3.
