One of the journalists killed in the Capital Gazette shooting is being honored by his former college.

The University of Florida has created an investigative journalism position in honor of Rob Hiaasen. He graduated from the university in 1981 with a degree in journalism.

Hiaasen worked as a columnist and editor at the Capital Gazette newspaper since 2010. He was one of five employees killed in a shooting in the Annapolis newspaper's news room back in June.
