Uber and Lyft have ceased their operations in Austin, Texas after residents didn't want the companies' new rules for ride sharing.
The voters decided they should fingerprint drivers and conduct more extensive background checks on them. Uber and Lyft spent more than eight million dollars on advertising to fight the legislation.
Austin is the largest city in the U.S. where Uber isn't available.
