Howard County police arrested two teen boys in the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy in North Laurel.

Luis Gerardo Ordonez, 19, and Francisco J. Rodriguez, 16, will be charged as adults in the death of Xavier Cole Young, 14, of Odenton.

Police believe Young, Ordonez, Rodriguez, and a few other teens were involved in a drug deal in the 9000 block of N. Laurel Road on Saturday, October 28.

When the teens met around 11 p.m. there was an unknown altercation and a shot was fired from a car window, hitting Young.

Young was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital in critical condition. He died from his injuries Monday morning.

An investigation led detectives to Ordonez and Rodriguez. They were found on Harvest View Court in Ellicott City Monday morning in a car that matched the description of the suspect's car.

Ordonez and Rodriguez are being held at the Howard County Detention Center on no bond.
