Poison control centers receive an average of 29 calls a day about children exposed to ADHD medications.
In the study published in the journal Pediatrics, researchers say the amounts of calls increased by 61% from January 2000 to December 2014.
Nearly a quarter of the calls were for teens abusing or misusing the pills.
About 9,000 of the 156,000 calls were related to teens between the ages of 13-19 possibly attempting suicide.
