Coming face-to-face with a wild animal can be frightening. But you wouldn't expect a dead snake to phase a coroner, much less scare them.
However that was the case for the Solano County Deputy Coroner in California. Amy Thurau examines dead bodies for a living with no problem. But in the video posted to the Solano County Sheriff's office Facebook page, Thurau really struggled to pick up and move a dead snake out of the road.
In the post the Sheriff's Office said Thurau is normally "hard as nails." Since the video was posted it's gotten more than 1,800 likes and nearly 1,600 shares.
