Mr. Trash Wheel and Professor Trash Wheel could be getting a new family member.

Sagamore Development is in talks with the Waterfront Partnership about putting a third trash collector into Baltimore waters.

The plans are in the early stages and fundraising efforts have just started. The Waterfront Partnership says Sagamore Development, South Baltimore Gateway District, and Continental Reality have pledged money to the project.

They need $770,000 dollars to put the new trash wheel at the mouth of the Gwynns Falls near the BRESCO trash incinerator. The group hopes to work out a deal with BRESCO to send the trash collected by wheel directly into the facility.

Right now there is no timeframe for when the new trash wheel might be put in place or any word on how he or she will be related to Mr. Trash Wheel or the Professor.
