Halloween is right around the corner, and most parents want their kids to not only have fun, but also be safe. The Maryland Department of Transportation wants to help with that.
Starting Thursday, October 26 MDOT is lending reflective vests to kids as part of its "Vests for Visibility" program.
You can pick up a vest from now until Tuesday, October 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are available at SHA maintenance facilities in most counties. You can find a map with all of the facilities offering vests here. The vests will be handed out on a first come, first served basis, and need to be returned by Friday, November 3.
