A man wanted for violent sexual assaults in Aberdeen was arrested Monday morning in northeast Baltimore.

Davonnte Sconion, 21, was found hiding in the attic of a home in the 6000 block of McClean Boulevard Monday morning. He was arrested by the Maryland State Police.

He is charged with first degree rape, attempted first degree rape, first degree assault, and numerous other sex offenses.

The first incident happened on Sunday, September 10. Police received a call for a reported rape in the unit block of Carol Avenue in Aberdeen. The female victim says she was raped and robbed at knife point.

She says she arranged a meeting with a man on Backpage, an online classified website. As she walked toward Carol Avenue, she says she was attacked by a man wearing a mask.

The second incident happened on Monday, September 11. Police said a woman reported an attempted sexual assault and robbery in the unit block of Liberty Street in Aberdeen. Police say she also arranged to meet the suspect through Backpage.

Sconion will be held at the Harford County Detention Center.
