Local churches respond to murders in Las Vegas

In response to the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Sunday night that left 59 people dead and more than 500 injured, the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland held a special prayer service.

The Emmanuel Episcopal Church located on Cathedral Street welcomed all regardless of faith, or no faith to the "We Cry with Las Vegas. A Special Service for Healing, Hope and Peace," Monday night.

On Tuesday Cathedral of the Incarnation l, will hold another prayer called "A Service of Lament for the Victims of Gun Violence." That will start at 12:15 p.m. at the church located on East University Parkway. 

The Episcopal Diocese of Maryland consists of more than 100 worshipping communities in ten counties and Baltimore City. It is part of The Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion.
