Actor Kevin Spacey responded on Twitter Monday morning to an allegation that he made a sexual advance toward a then 14-year-old boy in 1986.
Spacey claimed that he did not remember the allegation made by fellow actor Anthony Rapp in a Sunday interview with BuzzFeed, but said he apologized if he "behaved as (Rapp) decribed."
In the statement, Spacey addressed his sexuality in public for the first time, saying that he now "choose(s) now to live as a gay man."

Rapp told BuzzFeed that he met Spacey in 1986 while both were performing in shows on Broadway. Rapp claims Spacey invited him to a nightclub in New York and later the two went back to Spacey's apartment for a party. After the party ended, Rapp says Spacey made a sexual advance toward him.
Rapp was 14 at the time. Spacey was 26.
After the BuzzFeed story was released on Sunday, Rapp posted on Twitter that he was inspired by the the recent wave of sexual abuse allegations made by actresses against Harvey Weinstein and other men in power.
