Travelers this summer will be saving a few bucks if they're flying. Airfares are the cheapest they've been since 2009.
A new report from airfare prediction app Hopper says fares for tickets purchased in advance are down about 12% from last year and 20% from two years ago. Average fares during the summer will range from a peak of $240 in June and will drop to $211 by August.
Lower jet fuel prices are a big reason why the tickets are cheap. Rates aren't expected to rise until next year.
