A deadly stabbing in Rosedale is being investigated as justifiable self-defense.
Paul Connolly, III, 25, was stabbed in the 5600 block of Ultrecht Road Wednesday morning.
Police say a man learned Connolly was responsible for stealing property from his home. He knocked on Connolly's front door to ask him about it.
Connolly and another man came outside and the three men started to argue.The man says Connolly's dog attacked him. Police say both the man and Connolly pulled out knives and Connolly was stabbed several times.
The man was interviewed by police but released. Police found evidence of a struggle that backed up his story.
Police are still looking into the theft and the stabbing.
