COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WMAR) — An investigation is underway after two College Park homes were robbed in less than two weeks.

Prince George's County Police believe both homes were targeted and involved in the illegal selling of marijuana.

The latest break in happened around 7:15 p.m. Monday in the 7400 block of Dickinson Avenue.

Two men armed with guns entered the home and demanded cash from residents inside.

After stealing the money, the suspects took off. No one was hurt.

On October 30, two suspects broke into another home, a block up on the same street.

“We wanted to address our community because we know there is concern, but we want to reiterate that these are not random crimes at all. So far the investigation has revealed the robberies, in both cases, surround individuals who are engaged in the illegal sale of marijuana and were targeted as a result of those criminal pursuits and activities,” said Prince George's County Police Chief, Hank Stawinski.

Police don't think there's any connection between the victim's, but are investigating if the same suspects are responsible for both home invasions.
