Week 2 of Dancing with the Stars does not disappoint!

Week 2 of Dancing with the Stars and all of my feelings from last week were reinforced this week. All of my favorites are still favorites and all those who I wasn't expecting to shine are still a bit dull. However, it was still a night of entertaining dancing.

Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev kicked off the night with a super-charged Cha Cha. She appeared to be way more confident than the previous week. They didn't do anything fancy, but for the way Artem is talking about her, they will be doing fancy soon enough. 28

Before Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko performed their Foxtrot, they discussed how they should keep things "sexy". Last week, Len poo poo'd their sexiness and this week, he accepted it. I actually expected over the top sex, but they kept it in check. And when they're given a song called "Bad Intentions", where else are they going to take that, really? I did not hate Erika Jayne this week. Maybe she'll make a fan of me yet. 28

I love Charo and I want her to stay around for the entire season because she's crazy! However, her Paso Doble, which I was expecting to be killer because she straight up said, "Paso Doble is my life", was lacking. By a lot. I don't know how Keo Motsepe keeps her in check all week, because when it's performance time, she is off the rails, in the most entertaining way possible. I say all this with peace and love, Charo, you're a treasure, but you need to remember your moves! 25 for Charo.

For a second week, Nick Viall was fine. He's still looking like "anyman" off the street. I find the pre-dance packages with Peta Mergatroyd very amusing, he seems to have a good personality, but his dancing is lacking. 25

If I was a judge, I would have given Heather Morris a 10!!! Unfortunately, I am not.  Also unfortunate is the fact that Maksim Chmerkovskiy suffered a pretty brutal looking injury and wasn't able to perform on show night.  Alan Bersten filled in.  The Jive was a blast and there was a little hip hop breakdown in the middle that was ridonk!  I can't wait to see Heather really get her confidence in Ballroom technique and start tearing everyting up.  3 8's and a 6 from grumpy Len.  30 for Heather!!

Confession: I am in love with Bonner and Sharna. I am not typically a fan of public displays of affection, but if Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess started making out in the middle of the floor I would jump up and do a happy dance and maybe cry tears of joy. Meanwhile, their Vienesse Waltz was a beautiful story that ended horribly with Bonner walking away from Sharna. Boo! Regardless of the sad finish, the performance was gorgeous. 29

Simone Biles' Cha Cha with Sasha Farber looked like technical perfection to me. I didn't get the sense that Simone was ready to fully commit to the sex-kitten character that Sasha wanted her to be, but ooh la la, she was fantastic. 29

I wanted nothing else than for Chris Kattan to be successful, but his dancing is a bit of a mess. Understandably so, because he suffered a very serious injury to his back and has had many surgeries. He has noticeably limited mobility. Witney Carson did her best and even with the flexibility of a Jazz, Chris was still pretty unwieldy. He was also noticeably upset with his 22.

I liked Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy's Cha Cha a lot, but didn't see any increase in chemistry. They were great, despite arriving in the states 4 hours before air from Asia. Not sure how they pulled it off, but their energy was rocking. Loved it. 32

Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater were very captivating during their Viennese Waltz. I didn't think Rashad was as smooth as he was last week, but he was still charming as all get out. I see him in the Finals. 32

I'm sure it's not what he's going for, but I find Mr. T adorable. His Paso Doble with Kym Herjavec was improved from last week, but he was not fantastic. You can tell that he wants to crush, he needs just a little bit more practice time. 24

David Ross and Lindsay Arnold performed a super fun Cha Cha. He was able to maintain the charm from last week but was a little messier style-wise. Regardless, I'm rooting for him. 27

It was not a surprise to me that Chris Kattan got the boot. He's really not great. It's definitely because of his injury, and he made it known that he wished the injury/surgery info was more widely known. Really, Chris? You're looking for the sympathy vote? Injury or not, you either got it, or you don't. Someone needs to go first and this season, it was you. Kudos to you for challenging yourself, but it was definitely time. Vegas Week is up next!
