WASHINGTON (AP) - "Hamilton" is coming to Washington.
The Kennedy Center announced Tuesday that the national tour of the smash hit Broadway musical will be staged there during the 2017-2018 season. Specific dates for the engagement have yet to be announced.
"Hamilton" has become the toughest ticket on Broadway. It won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for drama and received a record-breaking 16 Tony award nominations, including Best Musical.
Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the book, music and lyrics for the show and stars as Alexander Hamilton, the nation's first Treasury secretary.
