"Dancing With the Stars" judge Julianne Hough announced that she won't return for Season 22 of the reality dance competition. Len Goodman will return to take her place on the panel after taking time off last season.
Hough told People magazine that she's bowing out to pursue new opportunities.
"I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing," she said. "The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family."
Hough began as a professional dancer on the show and went on to become a judge on seasons 19, 20 and 21. The split appears to have been made on good terms.
"Julianne will always be a part of the 'Dancing With the Stars' family and we hope to see her back in the ballroom in the future," producer Rob Wade said.
Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will return as judges. The new season is set to premiere March 21 on ABC.
"I promise it's not the last you'll see of me in the ballroom," Hough said.
