MANCHESTER, Tennessee — Around 80,000 people are expected to travel to the 700-acre Tennessee farm called Great Stage Park for the annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

The gates have been scheduled to open at 8 p.m. local time Wednesday, June 7 and the event runs through Sunday, June 10. Travelers to the large festival can expect traffic delays in the Manchester area Wednesday night into Thursday and again on the following Monday when people head home.

Friday's lineup includes Sheryl Crown, Khalid, The Revivalists and Muse, to name a few of the many acts that will be on stages at the Roo. Some of the event's headliners include Eminem, The Killers, Muse, and for the first time ever, the Grand Ole Opry is making an appearance.

Bonnaroo began in 2002 and gets its name from a New Orleans French Creole slang phrase meaning “best on the street.” Tickets to the giant festival, produced by Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment, typically cost around $300 and up.
