BALTIMORE — Baltimore is bringing the library to the laundromat.

Monday the Enoch Pratt Free Library launched its Baltimore wash and learn initiative.

The initiative will place technology stations and digital skills training in laundromats in Baltimore city. Hipp Laundromat in the 3100 block of Pulaski Highway is one of those locations.

"We really want to work to remove as many barriers as possible in all areas for residents in the city of Baltimore, so that they can take advantage of the great work that the Pratt Library does in its buildings,” said library President and CEO Heidi Daniel. “This is a way for us to be present in another way in the community besides the outreach efforts we already have."

There will be technology stations and digital skills programming in four laundromat locations across Baltimore city.
