Valentine's Day is just over a week away, and more than ever the holiday has become about more than just romantic couples.

Lots of people will be celebrating with their four-legged friends.

The website Rover surveyed hundreds of pet owners and found 85% will spend up to $50 on Valentine's gifts for their dogs. One in three said that's the same amount they're spending on their human partner, while nearly a quarter of people admitted they will be spending more on their dog that on their significant other.

25% of people plan to take their dog on a date on February 14.

Dogs can even help you find love - Rover found 72% of people said they are more likely to click on a dating profile if there is a dog in the profile picture.
