CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. — A 3-year-old in Calvert County got a happy surprise on her birthday after a Deputy paid her a visit.

Braelinn Reeves was sad that she couldn't have her friends and family over for her birthday and didn't understand why.

But one Deputy turned that frown into a smile by breaking it down. Even though Braelinn was shy at first, she joined Deputy Gilmore as she danced to "Don't Stop The Feeling" by Justin Timberlake.

The Chesapeake Beach family says they are so appreciative that the deputy took time out of her day to bring a smile to their daughter's face.

"Deputy Gilmore really truly saved the day by taking the time out of her busy schedule to make my baby girl smile," said Braelinn's mother Renee. "Deputy Gilmore really went above and beyond that day for Braelinn and I am so thankful for police like her."

As far as birthday surprises go, this is one the Reeves family surely won't forget.
