With a record number of overdoses in Maryland and across the country, the Baltimore County Health Department wants you to know how to save a love one from dying from an overdose.
The department is hosting free, two-hour naloxone training sessions throughout the month of February. You will learn how to recognize, prevent and respond to an opioid overdose.
There are three sessions scheduled:
- Wed., Feb. 7: 6 to 8 p.m. at Eastpoint Mall in Dundalk.
- Mon., Feb. 12: Noon to 2 p.m. at the Eastern Family Resource Center in the third floor conference room.
- Tues., Feb. 20: 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rosedale Library
Those who go through the course will get a certificate of completing, a prescription for naloxone that can be filled on site and an information kit.
