BALTIMORE — Informing, instructing and inspiring minority-owned businesses in Baltimore was the goal of the 2019 Minority Enterprise Development week.

Senator Ben Cardin and Baltimore Mayor Jack Young hosted a Federal Procurement Fair where minority business owners were able to connect with more than 20 federal agencies and large prime contractors. Some of those attending included the U.S. Army, Boeing, Amazon and Northrop Grumman.

"I think its awesome to come out and network with different people of different background to really, hopefully expand our footprint and make different connections that we normally wouldn't be able to do on a daily basis," said Justin Rowe, from Applied Technology Services.

Business owners also went on enterprise site tours and attended a minority manufacturing symposium.
