BALTIMORE — Maryland Congressman Elijah Cummings received a special tribute Monday.
A new technology center in West Baltimore was named in his honor: The Congressman Elijah E. Cummings Technology Center at LIGHT Health and Wellness Comprehensive Services. It provides after-school services for at-risk children to develop computer literacy skills and further access to educational resources.
"These children will now have an opportunity to sit in this room, and sit in this center, and communicate with people in China," said Congressman Cummings.
The center is located on North Monroe Street.
