Gerber products pulled after voluntary recall

Giant Food has stopped selling some Gerber Organic pouch products because of a packaging defect that could result in spoilage during transport and handling. 
 
The grocery chain's move comes after a voluntary recall by Gerber.
 
The following products are included in this recall: 
 
GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches - Pears Carrots & Peas, 3.5 oz pouch, UPC 15000074319; Batch 51945335XX with a best by date of July 12, 2016 and Batch 51955335XX with a best by date of July 13, 2016
 
GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches - Carrots, Apples & Mangoes, 3.5 oz pouch, UPC 15000074395; Batch 51955335XX with a best by date of July 13, 2016 and Batch 51965335XX with a best by date of July 14, 2016
 
Customers who have purchased these products should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund.
