Justice Department: Evidence of Volkswagen's criminal misconduct

Posted

The Justice Department has found evidence of criminal misconduct in Volkswagen's diesel-emissions cheating scandal.

The Wall Street Journal reports that prosecutors have not specified what the criminal charges will be, but they do hope to reach a settlement with the German automaker.

Volkswagen has agreed to pay almost a $15 million civil settlement, but will face a large financial penalty as part of the criminal case.
