If you stayed at a hotel recently, get ready to keep a closer eye on your credit cards.
An unknown number of people who used credit cards at Hyatt, Sheraton, Marriott. Westin and other hotels in 10 states and the District of Columbia may have had their cards compromised.
HEI Hotels & Resorts, which operates 60 hotels and resorts under a variety of brands, said they found malware on its payment processing systems at 20 properties. The malware was designed to capture debit and credit card information as it went through the system.
The company is working with law enforcement and financial institutions to address the breach.
