Certain gas ranges, wall ovens recalled

Posted at
and last updated

Certain wall ovens and gas ranges are being recalled because their fans can cause gas to ignite.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, using the fan during pre-heating or broiling can potentially lead to fires.

There have been 51 reports of flames or fires, and 7 reports of minor burns.

The appliances were sold at specialty appliance stores and kitchen equipment dealers nationwide.

Anyone who has one of the impacted gas ranges or wall ovens should immediately turn off the convention fan and keep it off.

They can then contact Prizer-Painter Stove Works to schedule a free repair.
