A bottle of Macallan 60-year just sold for more than $1,000,000 at auction.
The whisky was distilled back in 1926.
The spirits aged throughout the Great Depression, World War II and the entirety of the Cold War.
Finally, it was bottled in 1986 and sold in 1994 for $27,000.
After more than two decades, it was sold once again to a private collector who paid $1,100,000 for it over the phone.
According to Forbes, this is the most expensive standard bottle of whisky to ever be sold at auction.
It's also one of 12 bottles signed by artist Valerio Adami.
