BGE Home employees build bikes for Baltimore youth

BALTIMORE — BGE Home is giving back to the youth in Baltimore.

More than 500 of there employees came together to build 72 bikes for the YMCA outdoor and bike safety programs on Thursday. The bikes will be donated to the Druid Hill location to be used for the children of families that can't afford to purchase one.

"These kids bikes are just not an option for some the families so they won't have them and receive them at all or learn how to ride them which is quintessential for a kid growing up allows them to opportunity to have a bike," said Jayson Green, Executive Director of YMCA Druid Hill. "A brand new bike put together safely, well constructed by people who really want to give back to the community."

Employees came together over a two day span to complete the bikes.
