Amtrak service resumes between Md. and De. after boat strikes Susquehanna River Bridge

Amtrak has resumed all railway traffic between Baltimore and Wilmington, Delaware after inspectors determined the Susquehanna River Bridge was safe for travel.

Traffic had been halted Thursday evening for a little under an hour, after a boat struck the bridge which stretches from Perryville to Havre de Grace.

Amtrak's Silver Meteor Train 97, traveling from New York at the time had to be stopped at the location, while the bridge underwent a full inspection.
