Ashley James is an award winning journalist and news anchor on WMAR-2 News Good Morning Maryland. She is also the station's health reporter.
Ashley began working for WMAR-2 News in April 2015. The move to Baltimore brought her closer to her family in Delaware and her husband in Washington, D.C.
Ashley has worked for the Fox News Channel in New York. From there she went to local news stations in Salisbury and Toledo, Ohio. In Toledo, Ashley was responsible for a weekly franchise "Most Wanted Wednesday", which helped law enforcement catch upwards of 100 suspects.
Here at home, Ashley stays active in the community. She is on the Advisory Council of the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation, an organization offering support and financial assistance to interfile families. She is also a trained volunteer with the Maryland SPCA.
