It depends on how you look at it... Do you prefer chillier temperatures with sunshine OR warmer temperatures with rain showers? That is what we have on tap for Hallo-weekend!

Dry conditions prevail for Halloween with GOURD-ous sunshine BUT it will be FANG-tastically chilly, with highs in the upper-40s and low-50s. At least the weather pattern cooperates for trick-or-treaters. The kids will want the extra layers underneath their costumes though as temperatures drop through the 40s between 5-9 pm.

The weather pattern doesn't stay quiet and dry for long... A potent cold front will plow through the Mid-Atlantic region on Sunday afternoon from west to east. Periods of moderate to heavy rain push through, mainly southeast of I-95. In terms of rainfall totals, anywhere from .25-.75" is expected across central Maryland with locally amounts a bit higher along the Eastern Shore. The cold front will clear out around dinnertime Sunday evening with a cold gusty wind on the backside of it.

NW winds will still remain elevated, especially into Monday morning-- upwards of 40-50 mph at times. Wind Advisories may be issued as winds of this strength could uproot trees, damage power lines, and could take down your fall decorations. Winds veering out of the northwest will keep temperatures below normal for the start of the work week.

We will continue to monitor the timing of the rain along with potentially strong damaging winds.
