Thursday's snowfall caused dangerous road conditions for much or the day, an unusual problem for this time of year. It's been 4 years since BWI recorded any snowfall in November and this storm topped the daily snowfall record of 1.2 inches set in 1908.

Lots of counties closed school for the day. Carroll County Public Schools said this is the earliest in the season that they've had to close school for winter weather in the last 15 years.

For people who did brave the conditions outside, they were taking it slow and enjoying the view.

"We don’t have winters like we used to. Years ago, we used to have winters like this but I wanna say the last 10 years we really haven’t had any winters. So this is nice. I like it. I like the cold weather," Jarrettsville resident Steve Warfield said.

"This is fun. I’s exciting. I guess it’s not good to be on the roads but it’s definitely a lot of fun when it snows," Fallston resident Brad Mozal said.
