Red light and speed cameras are one step closer to reality in Baltimore.
The Board of Estimates is expected to take a final vote on two separate contracts for the new cameras Wednesday.
American Traffic Solutions , Inc. has been chosen to operate the city's speed cameras. Conduent State and Local Solutions, Inc. has been selected to operate the red light cameras.
The program was scrapped four years ago because of complaints about unwarranted tickets.
Mayor Catherine Pugh expects the red light and speed cameras to start in June.
