CARROLL COUNTY, Md. — Three people were injured in a collision in Carroll County on Thursday at around 4:43 p.m.
Troopers responded to the scene of the two vehicle collision on MD RT 27 at around that time. A preliminary investigation indicates that Margie Sowers was driving her 2009 Nissan Altima southbound on MD RT 27 when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with the northbound 2010 Honda Accord, driven by Jose Santos.
As a result of the collision, Santos was trapped within his vehicle.
All three occupants were flown to Shock Trauma, where they remain in serious condition.
