City police are investigating a shooting incident that left two people injured in west Baltimore Saturday.
Around 2:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 1600 block in N. Smallwood Street for a reported shooting.
Police said upon arrival, officers located two men suffering with gunshot wounds.
The 17-year-old victim had a gunshot wound to his left calf, while the 27-year-old man had sustained a graze wound to his left shoulder.
According to police, both victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment and are expected to survive.
In the initial investigation, detectives discovered that the two victims were in the area when the an armed suspect opened fire on them without warning.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and searching to identify witnesses.
