Heavy Seas Expansion

Heavy Seas Beer in Baltimore County is undergoing a major renovation/expansion project. It is re-doing its tap room and adding a 15 bbl small-batch brewhouse. The tap room will be seven times larger than the current space and include a private event room. The brew house will allow Heavy Seas to offer more unique, limited-release beers. Keep an eye out for the first releases this June. The entire project is set to be completed by June of next year.

New Restaurant in Locust Point

It was sad when we learned the Wine Market Bistro was closing, but not to fear, owner Christopher Spann is reopening a new restaurant in its place called Ludlow Market, Bar & Bottle Shop. Spann is bringing in Chef Christopher Audia, formerly of Tail Up Goat in D.C., as his head chef. The menu will be seasonally-focused with a mix of small plates and entrees. The bar will have a carefully selected array of cocktails, beers and a large wine selection. The restaurant is scheduled to open in mid-June.
